How to enter gimkit? ›

Go to Gimkit.com and select “Join Game” from the menu. This will display the dialog for joining a game. Input the game's join code here to get started. The instructor or student who made the game should supply the join code.

You can also click the game code to copy a link directly to your game. Share that link with your students and they'll be able to join your game without entering the game code. If you're using Classes, your students can visit gimkit.com/join to join your game instantly.

Check Internet Connection:

The foremost step for any such troubleshooting is often overlooked. Check your router and cables in case of the wi-fi and if you are using cellular data, check that too and make sure that your internet connection is stable and fast for the Gimkit app to run as desired.

For my code, I have 6 digits. I have a counter for each digit. By the counter there is a button that opens a popup for changing the number. For each of the counters, have them update a property.

Visit the class join link given to you by your teacher. Authenticate with your email or Google account. That's it! You've officially joined your teacher's class!

Student accounts are optional. Visit https://www.gimkit.com/signup and continue with Google or with email to create an account. Select whether you're an Educator or a Student and enter follow the steps to complete account set up.

Gimkit is a game for K-12 students. So, breaking these rules could mean you get permanently banned. That's a serious thing. It means you'll lose access to Gimkit, your rewards and cosmetics, all of the Maps you've made, and everything else in your account.

Why is Gimkit so expensive? ›

But just like physical things, virtual things have costs too. The onging costs of servers/storage, salaries (we pay very well and offer great benefits), and services/tools we rely on to keep Gimkit running. Those things cost money, and so to keep Gimkit around tomorrow, and hopefully a year from now, we charge for it.

Slow internet connections can lead to packet loss or an extreme increase in latency, which can cause game updates to take seconds to get delivered, instead of milliseconds. Gimkit uses much more bandwidth than a typical website since things are changing in the game all the time.

You can end a live game in most game modes by clicking the end game button in the upper right-hand corner of your host screen. In 2D games, you'll find the red End Game button with the other Game Controls.

Gimkit can be used in any classroom to introduce or review concepts; it's like a mashup of Kahoot! and Quizlet, but with some unique features neither have. The live gameplay is fast-paced and engaging, but when it's assigned for independent practice, Gimkit functions more like flash cards.

Our free plan, Gimkit Basic offers unlimited access to featured game modes. Gimkit Pro, our paid plan, offers unlimited access to every mode, no matter what. Those modes are called "Gimkit Pro Exclusives." Gimkit Pro Exclusive modes are limited to 5 players for Gimkit Basic members.
