Celebrated my Birthday with family. The house was beautiful and spacious and the Christmas tree gave a nice warm welcome as well.

The home was clean and well equipped. I wish there was more seating in the common area. It would be nice to have easy chairs in bedrooms . They are a lot of steps. Also have ice melt on hand.

Peaceful Retreat was a lovely place to spend our vacation. The home was very clean and the beds were great. There were two sets of towels for each person. There is a washer & dryer that works very well in the lower level. The kitchen was set up nicely with utensils, pots and cookie sheets. The appliances were in great condition.

The house is amazing. It is spacious, fully appointed and has lovely views front and back plus is a few steps to the putting green and hole # 1 on the golf course. The only problem (and it was resolved very quickly) we had was that the gas grill would not stay lit and so we thought it needed gas. Railey replaced the propane tank within an hour or 2. Then the grill still would not keep lit so they replaced it with a brand new grill within an hour or 2. Needless to say their service was amazing.

Our stay at Peaceful Retreat could not have been better! The home was clean in every spot, had a ton of space for our family and dog, and was in an incredibly quiet community! Peaceful Retreat was everything we needed for our family and fur-babies. Not expecting to be stuck indoors (epic bomb cyclone) we had everything we needed to keep from being stir crazy. Kitchen supplies exceeded expectation ( cooking for a group of 16 adults); the layout of the house was perfect in giving everyone ample private space and communal space without feeling like we were on top of eachother; furnishings were comfortable; greatly appreciated the extra pillows and WARM BLANKETS! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We stayed with a group of friends for a ski weekend and the location could not be better. The hot tub and fire pit were great. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. We will be renting again.

Everything went great. The house was awesome and everyone had a great time. The only downfall was the master bath shower was clogged.

This is a nice house. Its quiet, but nothing spectacular that would justify the cost. None of the decks are covered and there are no trees on the property, so if you are looking for shade - you won't find it. The golf course got a lot of use by some in our family. The pictures are accurate - although the driveway is now paved. The Master Bath shower is very very narrow. If you are a large person you may not be able to turn around. Renters should be warned that despite the designation of "lake front" the property is not right on the lake. You can see the lake, but due to the marsh right behind the house, its a good 10 minute walk to the get to any place to put into the water or the docks. There is also no way to drive right to the docks either. So you are carrying stuff a good distance to the docks.

We appreciate your feedback, Lisa! Though there are quite a few trees on this property and several spaces to relax in the shade (e.g. the lower deck and the bedroom balconies), we do understand that some guests prefer a fully shaded home. If you found that a home with full shade coverage that is right on the lake would better suit your group, our reservationists would be happy to assist you in finding a rental that meets these needs and any others you may have for your next DCL getaway. We want our guests to feel comfortable with the amenities and spaces their rental offers; while the loft shower to which you're referring is standard size, we hope you found the home's two larger showers (located on the main floor and in the basem*nt) to be more comfortable. With these things in mind, we're so glad to know that your group enjoyed some fun on the golf course and peaceful days relaxing at the home. We loved the location and view from this home. It was easy to access the tennis courts and par three golf. The kitchen was perfect for a large group preparing food and was well stocked, except for kitchen towels.

We took our bubble to the mountains for the new year and peaceful retreat was wonderful. So spacious and a great fit for our family group. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Beautiful furnishings and beautiful views.

Great quick birthday girls getaway. The home is gorgeous with beautiful decor. While there is a low water pressure issue due to the home being on well water, there are lovely views and an amazing kitchen to spend time in. Overall it was gorgeous and would definitely stay again once the gas fireplace is fixed.
